what is the best way to keep my blood sugar up while I am exercising?
I am a diabetic and usually drop while exercising so I end up avoiding exercising.
What foods will keep me on a level blood sugar level (hope that made sense) while I am exercising?

This is a really tricky one.

It sounds like you have type 1 diabetes?

It's difficult to make any suggestions. If you are getting Exercise Induced Hypoglycemia, any mix of solutions could trigger a worse problem.

This is really one of those areas you have to work with your doctor or better yet a specialist in Sports Medicine.

Depending on where you are located I might be able to suggest someone.

Very good Joel, I am a type 1 diabetic.
Most wouldn't catch that.
What I have been doing is lowering my basal rate(I have an insulin pump) and checking often, always carry fast acting glucose and my phone.
I was just hoping that there might be some food that digests slowly enough (am I using the right term here?) that my blood sugars will be sustained during the period of exercise.
