A new study shows people who hop on the scale often tend to weight less.

As neurotic as it might sound, weighing yourself more often seems to correlate with weight loss.  This is the conclusion of a new study out of the University of Minnesota.

4655 respondents were surveyed ages 40 to 65.  The really good news in this study is that you would think weighing yourself often would correlate to being depressed as well. Not so! Frequent weighing does not correlate with a higher incidence of depression.

Perhaps this simply reflects greater motivation, or perhaps getting on the scale more often leads to more motivation or corrective behavior. Either way, rule of thumb is he/she who weighs often weighs less.
