A recent on mice study indicates the herb Hibiscus Sabdariffa may be a potent anti-obesity and weight loss agent.

The study of Hibiscus Sabdariffa is yet another recent example of planet extracts have potentially potent weight loss effects, such as White Kidney Bean extract, which we recently profiled for it’s ability to create weight loss by blocking carbs.

Hibiscus Sabdariffa is widely consumed in Mexico. Previous studies have shown it to be rich in fiber and phenols, which have an anti-oxidant effect, and to lower blood pressure in humans.

Recently, a weight loss study on mice given 120mg per kilogram of bodyweight showed significant weight loss and improvement with several biological markers for obesity.

What remains to be determined if an effective dose in humans is a practical possibility.

The possible mechanism theorized for hibiscus Sabdariffa is enzymatic. To understand how potent enzymatic action is, look at Cleanzymes, which reduces inflammation and improves digestion and assimilation.

Hibiscus Sabdariffa may turn out to be a potent weight loss agent. We will keep watch for future studies.
