Eight years ago I took yoga classes for about two years. It's what I believe helped me to quit smoking. It makes sense to me that this exercise could also help a person to lose weight but that didn't happen for me. Probably because when I quite smoking, I started nibbling to replace my bad habit with a new one.

I love Yoga!

That can often happen when you quit smoking. Many people tend to substitute the cigarette for food, thus pile on some pounds, i am not sure if quitting makes you hungry, or if it just the lack of something to do with your hands.

Many people gain weight when they quit smoking, indeed.

However, I don't really feel like yoga alone is strenuous enough to use for weight loss.
Of course, I love yoga, and yoga does make doing cardio a bit easier, and helps stretch and strengthen the muscles.

But even when I was doing yoga everyday, but still eating unhealthily, I didn't lose much weight.

I like doing yoga. I felt a little silly at first, but once I saw that it was actually working, I stopped feeling silly. Smile

I have never tried yoga. A friend of mine teaches, but she is in another state. She is stick thin and contributes it to yoga.

yoga is a really good treatment to your mental fitness more than to your body, its always the best thing to keep your mind relax and stress less because many researches have shown that humans get various illness due to stress and bad mental situations
